About Vincent’s
Generations of Americans grew up in towns where neighbors met at the neighborhood soda fountain for a burger and malt while waiting for their prescriptions. They also came for advice and recommendations from their local pharmacists. Some just wanted to visit and treat their family to an ice cream cone or float on a hot day. At Vincent’s Drug Store and Soda Fountain, we pride ourselves on our unique 1950’s atmosphere, where friends and neighbors like to meet.
Vincent’s is locally owned and operated by Damien and Debbi Lamendola, who have a home on Kiawah Island. Named after Damien’s father, Vincent Lamendola, Damien shares, “I have many fond memories of going to an old-fashioned soda fountain with my dad and having a handmade hamburger and a root beer float. I will never forget the atmosphere’s feeling of warmth, family and a sense of community. This is the atmosphere we aspire to keep going at Vincent’s. He and my mother Becky were terrific parents and grandparents.”
We invite you, your family and friends to enjoy Vincent’s and recall fond memories of your own, while creating new ones for your children and grandchildren that they can cherish for many years to come.
We would love to hear your stories. Please stop by to tell us about them or send an email, and we will post them on Story Time. We were so pleased when Victoria stopped by with her family right after we opened our doors in May 2005. She came inside and said, “Oh, this reminds me of the soda fountain I used to work in when I was a teenager. This is wonderful.” When asked when that was, she said “In the 1920’s.” Seeing the surprised looks on our faces, she explained that she was "94 years young!"
We look forward to serving and reminding you how good old-fashioned service and hospitality feels.
Come in and see why your friends and neighbors are faithful patrons!!
